Quarter-bound + corners in burgandy leather over green cloth with gilt on top page edges. Four color illustrations by Oliver Kemp. 258pp. Printed by Doubleday Page (author's usual publisher) for Nelson Doubleday. Good+ with some condition issues: one-inch triangle missing from head of spine; edgewear/chips on spine; corners worn; pencil marks on front and rear endpapers; a few lower right-hand page corners bent. Nonetheless, a perfectly acceptable reading copy. Binding is tight. Not certain when this was published, but an unusual binding.
