Item description from seller

Presumed first ed., 1917; 191 p., clean and unmarked; front gutter raacking but binding is firm and volume square; despite absence of d.j. the texturred boards with raised bands on spine ad embossed gilt lettering has only light bumping on corners and slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine. Once wildly popular, this poet was looked down on by intellectuals such as Dorothy Parker: "I'd rather flunk my Wasserman test than read a poem by Eddie Guest." Today there is a real charm, for example, in reading about children's reactions to riding in an automobile before they were commonplace.
