Written from the viewpoint of both predator and prey, this text is a biological study of saltwater fish predation. It is a guide to understanding and imitating saltwater baitfish, crustacea and invertebrate forage species such as fishes, squids and sandworms. Paintings of forage species and photographs of imitative flies, with dressing information and hints and tips on tying and fishing them, are included. The author was aided in his biological research by Robin M. Love, Professor of Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA.
