Flute Fingering Chart: For Flute and Piccolo by Brenda Murphy is a practical laminated reference designed for flute and piccolo players who want quick access to essential fingering information while practising, studying, teaching, or preparing for performance. Compact and easy to keep with your instrument, it serves as a convenient companion for musicians who appreciate a reliable reference close at hand.
The chart presents detailed fingering diagrams for flute and piccolo in a clear, accessible format that can be consulted during lessons, individual practice sessions, ensemble rehearsals, and private study. In addition to fingering information, it includes useful notes covering instrument care, transposition, pitch systems, and notation, making it suitable for regular use in music rooms, classrooms, studios, and performance settings.
Rather than functioning as a repertoire collection, this publication focuses on foundational reference material that supports accurate playing and musical development. Having fingering information readily available can help players reinforce technique, check unfamiliar notes, improve reading confidence, and maintain consistent practice habits. Teachers may also find it useful as a visual aid when explaining fingerings and key concepts to students.
The clear layout allows information to be located quickly, helping musicians spend more time making music and less time searching through larger instructional resources. Because it combines practical fingering guidance with supporting reference topics, it offers a convenient overview of several important aspects of flute and piccolo playing in a single resource.
Whether used as a learning aid, a teaching resource, or a thoughtful gift for a flute or piccolo player, this laminated chart provides dependable information in a format designed for frequent consultation.
