Print on Demand. This book of poetry is a collection of the author's works highlighting his deep affection for a woman named Mary, and encapsulating the pain of lost love and separation. The author's wordsmithing and thoughtful exploration of both the joy and bitter pangs of devotion and longing provide a unique and compelling perspective on the human experience of love and loss. His reflections reveal both the profound beauty and the poignant fragility of the human heart in the throes of ardent desire, rejection, and mourning. This anthology of verse will particularly resonate with those familiar with the bittersweet nature of unrequited love, or who simply appreciate a poet's skilled craftsmanship and depth of emotion. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

The harvest is come, and the reaper's song Is sweetly, merrily ringing, And mingling, as it floats along, With woodland songsters singing.
The time is sweet to the harvest man When harvest yields him pleasure; He gathers in the golden grain, A precious, blessed treasure.
How dearly I love the harvest field, The golden sheaves to gather; Each field a bounteous blessing yields From our kind Heavenly Father.
And thee will I thank, O Holy One, For plenty - Where is ringing The joyous notes of the harvest song Which reapers now are singing.
