Six volumes. Hardbacks, Size approx 9 x 5.5 inches. In green cloth covers with gilt lettering and pictorial decorations to spines and fronts with decorative blind paneled boards. Pale Yellow endpapers. All page edges gilt. In generally good conditions. Spines faded and darkened, small chips to cloth at ends. Fading to boards and edges,some minor staining spots. Corners slightly bumped. Small split to cloth at top of spine on vol.6. Foxing and darkening to endpapers. Inscriptions to fronts ?Pinckney.? Occasional foxing spots to pages throughout. Colour plates clean and bright. Else a very clean and tight set. 6 vols. Complete with 283 chromolithographic plates (most full colour, some B&W) all with tissue guards.
