Print on Demand. This book collects the enchanting ballad and fantasy poetry of the author. Its Romantic Ballads are influenced by the ballads of Scottish bards. These poems have an eerie and haunting quality as the author draws upon ancient legends and a rugged natural world to explore themes of love, longing, and the darker forces at work in life and death. The second section of the book gathers Poems of Fantasy, which are otherworldly, evocative, and dreamlike. Unified by themes of desire, loss, and the supernatural, these poems peer into the human soul, exploring our secret yearnings and the mysteries that surround us. This book offers a glimpse into the rich inner world and vivid imagination of its author, and will appeal to readers seeking a blend of eerie beauty, lyrical intensity, and the timeless power of storytelling. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

In accordance with a courtly usage that is founded in common sense (as is the rule with courtly usages, though Democrats rail to the contrary) letters of intro duction are held to be a necessary portion of the equip ment of a gentleman who is about to set forth upon his travels in foreign lands. For the most part, to be sure, the traueller may go happily enough without such credentials and on his own merits maize for himself -supposing him to be truly gentle, and of a cordial quality - all the friends whom he desires by the way. But now and again - as in the case of some ill-bred fellow guestioning suddenly his antecedents - his letters will be useful to prove shortly to strangers that in his own country he is a person of condition and still more often will he find pleasure in exhibiting them, in proof of his worthiness, to those who frankly have given him their confident friendship without ashing for other evi dence of his merit than himself.
