She was primarily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and Kate Greenaway. Barker published these fairy collections during a boom in popularity of fairies in England; this craze was partly due to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and J. M. Light handling marks to the dust wrappers, and a touch of age-toning to the spines. Spots to the reverse of the dust wrappers for 'Summer' and 'Autumn'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine.
