Flow To Learn an uplifting, illustrated parent's guide offering 52 weeks filled with practical suggestions and compassionate insights to help your child through the ups and downs of childhood. Using practical, evidence-based tools from the fields of child development, psychology, and child-centered education, parents are guided step-by-step through the creation of simple hands-on activity stations that boost children's love for learning. In these prepared environments, children naturally experience flow, the focused state scientifically proven to be the optimal condition for learning. Flow activity stations free up parents' time while strengthening children with spaces that support their inherent talents, creativity, and wide-ranging intelligence.
Have you seen your child focus so deeply that they lose themselves in a task?
When did you last lose track of time because you were having so much fun?
What did you spend hours doing as a child? Do you remember that feeling?
Flow is the focused, fulfilling state of learning that children and adults naturally experience during play, movement and hands-on activities they love. In flow, we feel alive, we are authentically interested and deeply absorbed-and this is how we learn best and achieve more!
FLOW (in order) TO LEARN invites parents to reinvigorate their life with children using practical elements and compassionate insights from child development, psychology, and child-centered education to bring the joy and inspiration of learning in flow into their homes.
Explore the 52 inspiring chapters to enrich every week of the year:
✩ Create activity stations in your home to free up your time while strengthening your child's intelligence and mental health
✩ Discover your child's vibrant inner world, and support them through the ups and downs of childhood
✩ See children as guides to your own flow state to bring more fun, meaning, and purpose into your lives
Each of weeks has two parts: First, you will find reflections and information about flow, then an array of practical suggestions, "Try This," on how to facilitate flow in life with children.
Some weeks offer authentic and encouraging insights from an experienced mother who incorporates the flow-parenting approach with her family.
Throughout the book, you will be delighted by the many illustrations of children and adults learning in flow.

Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on standard-sized books weighing up to 4 LB, or 1.8 KG. If your book order is heavy and/or over-sized and the shipping address is OUTSIDE of The United States, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
At Mahler Books, we make no attempt to over-charge for shipping. Sometimes International buyers are surprised to discover the high cost of shipping heavy or over-sized books.
If you are located OUTSIDE of The United States, and you are ordering a heavy or over-sized book, the shipping costs are estimated to be about 42 US dollars. This is the cost of the Global Priority Flat Rate Box. I agree that this shipping cost seems excessive, but this is what the Postal Service charges me, and this is the cheapest rate I have been able to locate for large books weighing over 1.8 KG.
