Contemporary 1/2 leather, spine lacking bottom half, front board detached. 378 pp., 10 chromolithographic plates of flowers. The last page of the index indicates that this was volume VI, undoubtedly the sixth year of this publication. This represents a very early use of chromolithography for illustrations in a periodical. The plates were printed by C. Chabot, lithographed by James Andrews. The book is not complete. There are three plates missing (#'s 110,114,117) at pages 33, 161 and 257. There is also one leaf of text (pp.33-34) missing.
