Print on Demand. This book, dedicated to the flora of the region Como in the north of Italy, meticulously documents the work of renowned botanist Giuseppe Antonio Scopoli. A descriptive catalog of vascular plants, it includes a comprehensive listing of species identified in the area during the 18th century, many for the first time. A significant contribution to the study of botany during the Enlightenment, the author's work served as a model for future research on plant diversity, nomenclature, and distribution. This volume represents a valuable resource for botanists, historians of science, and anyone interested in the rich plant life of this picturesque region. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
