Add to basketIn Alaska's wildest kitchen, a chef discovers that the best recipes can't be found in any cookbook-especially when love is on the menu.
When uptight chef Lucy Zhang flees her toxic ex (think Gordon Ramsay with worse anger issues) to Cooper Landing, Alaska, she has one goal: turn her small-town restaurant into a Michelin-starred sensation. Too bad she's landed in a place where 'seasonal menu' means whatever the moose didn't eat, and fine dining is defined by using a tablecloth.
Enter Deb Walker: beloved local farmer, walking ray of sunshine, and keeper of indigenous traditions, who believes any disaster can be fixed with Native wisdom and a community feast. While Lucy's color-coding her spice rack, Deb's busy sharing traditional harvesting practices and pretending her wife's new city life isn't breaking her heart.
When a flash flood threatens their tiny town, these opposites are thrown together in a rescue that proves even the most carefully crafted plans can go sideways. Suddenly, Lucy-who doesn't do chaos, nature, or feelings-finds herself knee-deep in all three. Between Deb's persistent optimism and a town full of locals who think "personal space" is just a suggestion, Lucy's perfectly organized life is getting messier by the minute.
Lucy must decide-stick to her five-star dreams, or risk it all on a chance at love that doesn't come with a Yelp review.
Deb faces her own challenge-while she's busy showing Lucy that life can't be scheduled, she needs to admit that some seasons of love are meant to end so new ones can begin.
