Second edition, revised and expanded edition, and the first edition by this publisher. Quarto. 215pp. Grayish-tan cloth stamped in red. Illustrated throughout. Top edge of front cover has light mottling on cloth, else a near fine copy in very good, price-clipped dust jacket with a 3/4" chip on front panel with one small clear tape mend on verso. Text for this second edition is expanded with a supplement of "last-minute data for the scientifically curious." Originally published in Boston, by Hale, Cushman & Flint in 1939.
