About this Item
Green marbled paper-covered boards with green backstrip and red and black lettering. Minor edgewear, previous owner signature to front pastedown, no other marks. Text is clean and white. Unclipped DJ with $3.95 price is completely torn in half at the spine with loss at both head and heel of spine, rubbing and small chips to edges. Lovely jacket design by Robert J. Lee. "Tells of Pierre de Beauvilliers, a cultured South African of Dutch descent. De Beauvilliers is young and ardent, experienced in war, somewhat withdrawn in peace. He lives comfortably and alone, still attracted to the lovely young English girl who left Africa years before- who is never quite gone from his heart. Abruptly, Pierre's quiet pattern is shattered. The mood of Africa changes. He is catapulted into a desperate conflict with an intangible enemy. A brutal murder, a chance clue, and Pierre senses a devastating threat to the Africa he loves." (from the jacket). Seller Inventory # J111614
