About the Author: OLIVER C. IBE is the Chief Technology Officer of Sineria Networks, a wireless LAN solutions company. He previously worked for Digital Equipment Corporation and GTE Labs as a senior member of the technical staff; Cabletron Systems, Xyplex Networks, and NetSuite Development Corporation as senior network architect; and Adaptive Broadband Corporation and Spike Broadband Systems as the director of network architecture. He received his ScD degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
