AI won't fix your business. It will amplify it.
Point AI at a sales process that works, and it scales the wins. Point it at one that leaks, and it scales the leak: faster, cleaner, and far more expensive than you were losing before. Most companies buying AI right now are doing the second thing and calling it progress.
This book is the operator's filter for telling the difference.
It is written for founders and sales leaders in the markets that punish sloppy execution: energy, finance, real estate, and healthcare. The sales motion is complex, the channel is hard to build, and a tool that scales a broken process there does real damage. You do not need another breathless take on what AI might do someday. You need a way to test the vendor who is calling you this week.
That is what you get here: a short, blunt method for deciding whether the next AI tool earns a place in your revenue engine or just adds cost and noise.
Name the leak. Most revenue problems are not a lead-generation problem. They are an execution problem: leads that sit, reps chasing deals that will never close, follow-up that depends on who remembered, a forecast that is fiction.
Trace it to a dollar. If you cannot put a number on the leak, you cannot tell whether the tool closed it.
Test it small. Run it where being wrong is cheap, before you bet the quarter on it.
Along the way, you will work through the five places revenue actually dies: who you sell to and what you offer, how fast you reach a new lead, how rigorously you qualify, how disciplined your follow-up is, and whether your pipeline and forecast tell the truth. You will see why AI makes each one better only after you have fixed it by hand first.
What's inside:
Bombarded: the flood of AI pitches hitting your team, and why most of it is noise.
AI Doesn't Fix. It Amplifies: the one principle that changes how you buy.
You Can't Go First: why the machine has to go second, every time.
The Theater Filter: spotting tools that perform activity instead of producing revenue.
The Fleecing Filter: How to weigh a vendor's promise before you sign.
Your Data Is the Tell: what your own numbers say about whether AI will help or hurt.
The Right Tool Still Dies in the Field: Why good software fails on contact with real reps.
Prove It or Kill It: the test every tool either passes or gets cut.
Why listen to this?
Anthony A. O'Brien is not an AI commentator. He is an operator. He recruited, trained, and scaled a 400-person field sales force across 13 deregulated states, driving monthly revenue past $30 million. He ran a proprietary hedge fund for 19 years and built RealEstateLender.com into a top-10 commercial lender. When he tells you your qualification process is broken, it carries the weight of someone who ran the machine before he taught it.
This is the on-ramp to his larger system, The O'Brien Method. It is short on purpose. No theory dressed up as insight. No vendor language. It names the leak, quantifies the cost, and prescribes the fix.
If you are about to spend real money on AI for your sales organization, read this first.
The machine goes last. You go first.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
