no date, circa 1968. Side stapled booklet, 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Yellow front wrapper. 12 pages plus cover. Reprint from the July 1966 issue of Liberation. A description of the philosphies and practices of the First Street School, an alternative school established in the Lower East Side of New York City. It was founded by Mabel Chrystie and operated from 1964 to 1966. George Dennison taught there and eventually wrote a book on the school, "The Lives of Children." The Radical Education Project was started by the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) in 1967 and published a variety of leaflets and papers on various left wing ideas and causes. GOOD condition. Heavy uneven offsetting, fading and discoloration to the front wrapper. No rear wrapper, perhaps as issued. Faint yellow staining to the last page, with heavy yellow staining to the first page.
