nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - A First Latin Course is a comprehensive textbook written by William Smith in 1877. The book is designed to teach students the basics of Latin grammar, vocabulary, and syntax. It is divided into three parts: Grammar, Delectus, and Exercise Book, each of which focuses on a different aspect of Latin language learning. The Grammar section covers the fundamental rules of Latin grammar, including the declension of nouns, pronouns, and adjectives, as well as the conjugation of verbs. It also includes a detailed explanation of Latin syntax and sentence structure, along with examples and exercises to reinforce the concepts. The Delectus section contains a selection of Latin passages for students to read and translate. These passages are chosen to illustrate the grammar and vocabulary covered in the previous section, and to introduce students to classical Latin literature. The Exercise Book section provides a series of exercises and drills to help students practice and reinforce their knowledge of Latin grammar and vocabulary. These exercises include translation, parsing, and composition, and are designed to gradually increase in difficulty as the student progresses through the book.In addition to the main text, A First Latin Course also includes a set of vocabularies, which list the Latin words and phrases used throughout the book, along with their English translations.Overall, A First Latin Course is a comprehensive and thorough introduction to the Latin language, suitable for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.…
