Item description from seller
Language: English. About The Book: "First Days in India" by Arthur Clinton Boggess is a reflective narrative capturing the author's early impressions and cultural encounters upon arriving in colonial India. Through vivid descriptions and personal anecdotes, Boggess explores the sights, sounds, people, and challenges of missionary life in a foreign land. The book offers insightful commentary on Indian society, religion, and British colonial influence, blending travel writing with sociocultural observation. It serves as both a personal chronicle and a window into early 20th-century India through the eyes of a Western missionary. About The Author: Arthur Clinton Boggess (1874–1955) was an American author, historian, and educator known for his work on Indian history and Christian missions. He wrote extensively on social reform, religious life, and the cultural impact of missionary activity in colonial India.
