From the Author
You don't tell the President No. Not if your a third year cadet at West Point and a "Yes" gets you lieutenent's bars. Not even if the Mission is beyond belief. Thus begins Launa O'brian, Commander, Neolithic Military Advisory Group's career. There are a few things they don't mention. She and Captain Jack Walking Bear will ride a time machine that didn't work all that well the only time it was tested. Other things even the President couldn't have known. Captain Jack Walking Bear wouldn't mind being tasked as body guard to this brass lieutenant, if the body wasn't so lovely, and the woman would pay a bit of attention to his voice of experience. And neither of them planned on meeting a Kurgan raiding party fifteen minutes into their mission to make contact the peaceful farmers of the neolith and help them survive the self same Kurgan raiders. Oops. So much for military intelligence. Follow Launa, Jack, the peaceful farmers and the hungry Kurgans as they collide in the Danube River basin, four thousand and something BC. All history will turn on what they do.
