About the Author: Gordon Morrell is Associate Professor of History at Nipissing University, Canada. He is the author of Britain Confronts the Stalin Revolution: the Metro-Vickers Crisis and Anglo-Soviet Relations (1995).; Maartje Abbenhuis is Professor in Modern History at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is the author of several books on the international history of the nineteenth century and the First World War, including An Age of Neutrals (2014) and The First Age of Industrial Globalization (co-authored, 2019).
