Paperback. Dive into the untold tale of Squire Lucan and his friends, long before the notion of knighthood crossed his mind. In the serene haven of Windermere, where the specter of war was yet to cast its shadow, Lucan's worries were as simple as summoning the courage to invite the baker's daughter to the village festival. Little did he know, these innocent moments would be overshadowed by the looming darkness of impending conflict as the armies of King Logan approached, and Lucan has to fight to save those he cares about. In the tranquil embrace of Windermere, where the seasons mark the rhythm of life, friends Lucan, Thom, and Jax revel in the simplicity of planting and harvesting crops. Yet, the shadows of change loom as a new king ascends to power, shattering the serenity that once enveloped Windermere. War looms on the horizon, and the friends are thrust into chaos and uncertainty. In a struggle for survival, they navigate the treacherous path of a world torn apart, where the once-familiar landscape becomes a battleground and alliances are forged in the crucible of adversity. As the darkness of war descends upon their once-idyllic home, Lucan, Thom, and Jax find themselves confronted by the harsh realities of a world in turmoil. The bonds of friendship are tested, and the journey they embark upon will forever alter the course of their lives. This item is printed on demand.
