Cataclysmic changes rock our culture—and we reel with the effects of the pandemic, the politics and the protests. Events like these can shatter our lives—unless we learn to build our resilience. Learning that resilience is a critical skill that can be practiced for these times of rapid, unending change, is the key to thriving during these times!
Whether you are a leader challenged by continuous change in your organization or someone who just struggles with constant change, this book From Fire to Water: Moving through Change; The Six Elements for Personal Resiliency will provide you with key insights and strategies for improving resilience, whether personally or in the workplace.
You will discover the Six Elements correspond to each letter in the word CHANGE:
- C is for Candor: Honesty is a key piece for personal resiliency.
- H is for Heroism: We can tap into our inner hero by making our actions just and right.
- A is for Acceptance: Change is inevitable. We absolutely cannot escape it.
- N is for Nurture: Commit to taking the time to create and pursue self-nurturing activities
- G is for Gratitude: Gratitude gifts us with a different perspective so we can explore different ways of moving forward.
- E is for Engagement: When we show up, committed with head and heart, we build resiliency.
This book offers foundational resilience principles and provides case study demonstrations of how they are applied to work and life!
