Paperback. Milo has mastered the art of not caring too much. An expert, almost. From a stolen chair to a bird that got away, from a firmly closed door to an unforgivable trip to the vet, Milo watches his human, Simon, meet life's smallest disturbances with a remarkable talent for making them larger. Cats, Milo explains, notice what has happened, object where necessary, wash themselves, and move on. Humans preserve disappointments. They polish old arguments. They worry about several futures at once, none of which have happened yet. It is not that Milo cares about helping. Naturally. He simply finds humans easier to live with once properly instructed. Across thirteen short, wry, and unexpectedly tender chapters, Not My Fire follows Milo's confident campaign to teach Simon the art of detachment - and the story of what Milo quietly learns about his own, whether he intended to or not. With dry feline wit, real affection, and philosophy grounded in windowsills and warm patches of sun, this is a gentle, funny guide to letting the small fires burn without you - for anyone who has ever carried a problem long after it stopped being useful. Book 1 in the Milo the Cat series. Perfect for cat lovers, fans of animal-narrated fiction, and anyone who could use a reminder that not everything is theirs to fix. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
