Print on Demand. This book utilizes tree-ring analysis to reconstruct a 300-year fire history within Rhyolite Canyon, a remote ecosystem found in the Chiricahua National Monument. The author's exploration of seasonal fire occurrence and intervals present a three-century-long, detailed account of fire activity in the region, adding to our understanding of the area's ecological balance. The insights provided by this study, alongside existing written records of fire from the area, shed light on the relationship between human presence and fire patterns over time, inviting readers to consider the dynamic interplay of natural and cultural influences on the environment. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
