Print on Demand. This book examines farming capital, income, tenure, and debt in McHenry County, Illinois, in the years leading up to World War II. The author explores how the financial position of farmers affected their operation during a time of rising agricultural prices. The findings are significant not only for understanding the history of farming in the United States, but because they also offer insights into the financial challenges faced by farmers today. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
