Time is running out as an apocalyptic prophecy comes to bear in a breathtaking thriller by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Jeff Wheeler.
As a plague of the gods spreads throughout the world, two men face the end times on opposing sides of good and evil.
It began as a death-defying ritual in the Yucatán. Jonathon Roth and his family were pawns in an inconceivable endgame. Jacob Calakmul was its depraved and mystifying mastermind destined to fulfill an ancient prophecy, destroy the government, and bring about his personal Armageddon. Exposing the unbelievable truth to the authorities has made Roth’s life a nightmare.
Roth is under FBI protection in DC. His sons may be safe, but his wife has disappeared, and his daughter, Suki―a girl gifted with a special magic―is now Calakmul’s captive. She and her father are the keys to making Calakmul’s plot a horrifying reality. It’s already in motion. A deadly plague released in Cozumel and rooted in ancient mythology will wipe out cities across the globe so fast it’s impossible to imagine the near future. But Calakmul can. His prophesized end of days is here. And only Roth and Suki can stop it.
To save their family, and all of humanity, what will Roth and his daughter risk? And what must they sacrifice in a final match with the ascending ruler of a terrifying new world order?

About the Author
Jeff Wheeler is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of more than forty epic novels. Doomsday Match and Jaguar Prophecies in the Dresden Codex series are the first thrillers he’s written since his early years as a budding author, but his many fans think his fantasy novels are thrillers in their own way. Jeff lives in the Rocky Mountains and is a husband, father of five, and devout member of his church. On trips to the jungles of Cozumel and the Yucatán Peninsula, he has explored Maya ruins and cenotes, leading him to dive even further into the history of ancient America and the Spanish conquistadors. There is more to the ball courts than meets the eye. Learn about Jeff’s publishing journey in Your First Million Words, and visit his many worlds at www.jeff-wheeler.com.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
