By Yusun Beck (also credited as Ycc)
They searched the universe for truth.
They crossed planets, built machines, and trusted their own power.
They never stopped to look at what was already in front of them.
As interstellar war spreads and worlds collapse under the weight of ambition, a living ship known as the Guardian carries soldiers, leaders, spies, and seekers who believe knowledge can be conquered. Scattered across space are mysterious boxes—objects rumored to contain ultimate answers, power, and salvation.
What they find instead is judgment.
As crews fall, alliances fracture, and rebellion ignites, one truth becomes unavoidable: truth does not submit to human pride. Faith, sacrifice, obedience, and consequence rise against a civilization that believes it can save itself.
At the center of the conflict stands Yusun Beck, a reluctant leader forced to confront not only enemies, but despair, legacy, and belief. When the cost of truth passes from father to child, the universe is confronted with a question it has avoided for too long:
What if truth was never hidden—only rejected?
This is not a light space adventure.
This is not neutral science fiction.
This is a story about consequence, faith, war, and the limits of human power.
The Final Guardian blends military science fiction, theological themes, and mythic storytelling into a bold, uncompromising epic that challenges the reader as much as it entertains.
This re-edited edition is based on the author’s original work, first written in the 1990s and published in 2002, now refined for a new generation of readers.
Recommended for ages 13+.
This book contains science-fiction violence, depictions of war and death, intense conflict, moral struggle, and explicit Christian theology. Reader discretion is advised for younger audiences.
Readers who enjoy epic, idea-driven science fiction
Fans of military sci-fi with moral and philosophical weight
Readers seeking faith-forward speculative fiction
Teens and adults who want stories that challenge belief, not comfort it
Readers looking for light or purely escapist sci-fi
Readers seeking religious neutrality or relativism
Those uncomfortable with strong moral conviction
Truth was never lost.
It was ignored.
Begin the journey.
