In the nineteen-sixties, in a civilized city in proper little Switzerland, a mysterious murder happens which takes twenty years to solve. The main characters are four old friends who meet regularly to play cards: Arnold Wiederkehr, detective; Franz Filbert, left-wing politician and journalist - the murder victim; Wilhelm Brauer, successful attorney; Arthur St�ckli, zoo keeper. Wiederkehr has taken early retirement and now lives in a remote village in southern Switzerland. In a comprehensive report for the prosecution he describes how he solved the Filbert case.

About the Author

Andreas Pritzker wurde 1945 in Windisch (Schweiz) geboren. Nach dem Physikstudium an der ETH Z�rich arbeitete er zun�chst als Forscher und beratender Ingenieur in der Industrie, dann als Forscher im Schweizerischen Institut f�r Nuklearforschung (SIN). Nach f�nfj�hriger T�tigkeit im Stab des Schweizerischen Schulrats (heute ETH-Rat) leitete er w�hrend f�nfzehn Jahren zuerst die Verwaltung, sp�ter den Logistikbereich des Paul Scherrer Instituts (PSI). Seit 2003 ist er freischaffender Autor. Mitglied ist er bei Autoren der Schweiz (AdS) und beim Deutschweizer PEN-Zentrum. Er ist verheiratet und lebt in K�ttigen (Schweiz). Neben belletristischen Werken hat er Beitr�ge in Anthologien und Sachb�chern ver�ffentlicht.
