About the Author

The late Richard P. Feynman was Rich ard Chace Tolman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology. Awarded the 1965 Nobel Prize for his work on the developm ent of quantum electrodynamics, he was one of the most famous beloved figures of the twentieth centu ry, both in physics and in the public arena.
