242 numbered pp +1; HB. Pages: clean, foxed, tight, tri-color full page frontis by Starmer; original owner info inked ffep, a.e. tanned, t.e. dusty. Cover: blue, silver artwork front, silver titles front/spine; moderate shelfwear, extrems worn, a bit rubbed. Five full-page, 3-color hors texte illustrations by Starmer. Starmer painted the beautiful frescoes in the Parish Church of Saint Jude-on-the-Hill. The struggle in nature between animals.

Fine(+): clean, bright, tight, no wear, no defects ("as new"); Fine: not perfectly bright, minor marks or other slight defects; Very Good (VG): small to medium tears, chips, marks, cocked etc.; Good (G): not so much, with larger tears or chips, possibly soiled, cocked, lacking a non-essential page, etc.; Fair: ugly, with pages or large areas of DJ missing or other major defects, such as a missing text page; Poor(P)-truly ugly, disbound or requiring other major rehabilitation. We stabilize most minor defects with archival quality materials, and with few exceptions, these stabilizations are reversible.
