Burgundy cloth covers have black spine labels with gilt text. Boards show some wear, smudges, edgewear. Corners are bumped. Spines have gilt text on black labels, a little worn, and are darkened with bumped, softened ends. Binding to Volume One, covers are detached. Volume Two binding is secure. See photos. Iron can be used to make a greater variety of objects than any other metal. When hot-worked, it is as malleable as modelling clay; when cooled, it is extraordinarily hard and sturdy. Iron is thus used for both large items ? stair rails, strongboxes and prison bars ? and personal objects such as jewellery, lighters, tools and sewing accessories.
