Item description from seller

. xx + 316 page, edges etc foxed. This Fergus Ferguson (1832-1911) was a United Presbyterian and United Free minister in Dalkeith and Glasgow, and not to be confused with the father and son of the same name who were ministers in the Evangelical Union denomination. He was found guilty by the Glagow UP presbytery of unorthodox views on the atonement, justification, human depravity, the intermediate state and the destiny of the unconverted, but was allowed to continue in ministry with "an affectionate and solemn admonition".
