Text in English. 190 pp. Minor rubbing on the covers. Infectious diseases present a major problem to owners of individual pets and institutions such as catteries and kennels, and a thorough understanding of them is essential for effective prevention and control. This book is a readily accessible and up-to-date guide to the recognition, treatment and control of all major viral, bacterial and fungal infections in the cat and dog. Each disease chapter discusses aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, pathology, diagnosis and epidemiology, in addition to control techniques and methods of treatment. Shorter notes are also provided on the less common diseases that may be encountered.
