- Book 3 of 10: The Light Inside Me
The Light Inside Me is a 10-volume children’s book series created for sensitive and intuitive kids. Each story gently answers life’s big questions, from “Where do babies come from?” to “What is God?” — with warmth, love, and spiritual wisdom. Perfect for bedtime, family conversations, or classrooms, these beautifully illustrated books encourage imagination, comfort, and connection.
At a time when the energy of our world is shifting, children are arriving more awake, sensitive, and spiritually aware. Imagination is one of the greatest gifts we can nurture, because what we see in our minds, we carry into our lives. These stories are written to help children attune to their inner light, awaken their imagination, and embrace a conscious way of living filled with love, wonder, and acceptance.
In Volume 3, I Feel Something in My Heart (But I Don’t Know What It Is), children are invited to explore the world of feelings and emotions. Inspired by the author’s own journey of being highly sensitive, this story helps little ones understand that emotions are real, important, and safe to express, even when they don’t yet have the words.
Too often, children struggle to explain what they’re feeling, and their emotions may be misunderstood or dismissed by adults. Through this gentle story, kids learn that they can simply place a hand on their heart and say, “My heart hurts, and I feel like a hug would make it better.” With this language, caregivers and children can connect more deeply, bringing balance and understanding to relationships.
By giving children a voice for their inner world, this story validates their sensitivity and creates space for healing, communication, and love.
This series was born from my own journey as a mother, grandmother, and spiritual teacher. Over the years, I’ve seen how deeply children feel the world and how often their most important questions are met with silence or answers that don’t honor their sensitivity. These books are my way of offering gentle, soulful answers that affirm their wisdom, their curiosity, and the divine spark within them. It is my hope that families will read them together and that both children and adults will feel comfort, inspiration, and love in these pages.
The complete series includes 10 volumes:
-
Where Do Babies Come From?
-
Where Do People Go When They’re Not Here Anymore?
-
I Feel Something in My Heart (But I Don’t Know What It Is)
-
Is It OK to Believe in Magic?
-
Why Do I See and Know Things Before They Happen?
-
What Are Signs from Heaven?
-
What Is God (and Where Is God)?
-
How Do I Pray and Talk to God and the Angels?
-

-

Together, the 10 volumes form a library of light, inspiring children, and the adults who read with them, to step into a brighter, more conscious future. These books make beautiful gifts for new parents, baby showers, birthdays, and growing families who want to nurture the imagination, spirit, and inner light of their children.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
