Print on Demand. This book details the legal framework and judicial procedures governing contraband cases in Spain during the early 1800s. As Spain grappled with rampant smuggling and fraudulence, this book examines the 1825 regulation which established mobile columns of troops to enhance the effectiveness of customs enforcement. The author provides a comprehensive guide to the investigative, prosecutorial, and judicial processes involved in contraband cases. It covers topics such as the scope of authority of various officials, the rights of the accused, the types of penalties that could be imposed, and the procedures for confiscating contraband goods. The book also discusses the challenges and complexities of combating smuggling, including the involvement of high-ranking officials and the resistance encountered from local populations. It highlights the need for a swift and efficient legal system to deter contraband activities. By examining the historical context and legal framework of contraband enforcement in Spain, this book offers valuable insights into the ongoing struggle to combat illicit trade and protect national economies. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
