Item description from seller

Pages and Size: 11 x 8.5 , offset from typed originals. 33 lvs of text (plus 10 lvs of abstracts and distribution list). Illustrations: none. __+__ Rarity or scarcity: I can find only 5 copies of this work in the WorldCat/OCLC. __+__Seems to me that damage was too wide and deep and varied and unyielding to be satisfied by this methodological tool :__+__ Abstract :  The objective of the study was to evaluate the feasibility of developing a particular methodological tool to aid in conducting research on post-attack phenomenon. All such research faces the necessity of studying phenomena in hypothetical future situations. To aid in solving the many problems this fact poses, the concept was advanced of a set of standard situational cases reflecting the range of situations nuclear attacks could create. The study was initiated to determine if the concept of the standard situational case offered sufficient promise for development as a practically applicable research tool. It was concluded that development of the original concept of the standard situational case was not feasible primarily for two reasons: (1) the initial inability to provide criteria for distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information, and (2) the failure to find means for reducing the cases to a manageable number. However, from a number of the insights gained in the course of the study, a new concept was developed different from, but aimed at the same objectives, as the standard situational case concept. This new concept followed from the realization that the definition of recovery would provide criteria for testing the relevance of information about post-attack situations. The remainder of the study was devoted to further development of this new concept of defining critical information categories for post-attack situations. __+__ 5 copies of this work are located in the massive database for worldwide library holdings, WorldCat. Surprising, given that it was a Chamber of Commerce publication perhaps it was deemed ephemeral, and not many survived. In any event, there aren't many copies of this work located in the WorldCat system. ( WorldCat is a union catalog that itemizes the collections of 17,900 libraries in 123, the world's largest bibliographic database. --Wikipedia) __+__ Condition:  FINE copy nice and fresh, crisp. There are a few bits out of the front coverm otherwise this is a nice copy. 8.5/9 on a 1-10 scale, with 10 being new . (Condition grading is compared to the condition of the publication when it was new;  to give a condition quote that states "good for its age" comparing something to a fluid state without a common denominator is almost without value, so the publication is compared to its condition when it was first published.) __+__.…
