Synopsis:

Renowned garden artist Keeyla Meadows sees the world in strong, saturated shades. "Fearless Color Gardens" brings this unique vision to life by showing how to use wild, uninhibited color to connect indoor and outdoor spaces and turn a garden into a work of art. Learn: how to pick colors that work together; how to coordinate the colors of walls, benches, containers, and garden art; how to organize garden spaces through the use of color; and, how to translate personal color preferences into tangible form in the garden. "Fearless Color Gardens" also features a new way of looking at color with 'Keeyla's Color Triangle'; easy-to use tips on growing edibles in color themed gardens; and, Keeyla's favorite plants for specific colors. In the end, readers will want to reinvent the staid rules of the color wheel and turn their color preferences into intoxicatingly vibrant garden expressions.

About the Author: Keeyla Meadows holds a bachelor's degree from the California Institute of the Arts, a master's degree in sculpture from the University of California at Berkeley, and has completed post-graduate studies at the Whitney Museum of American Art. For over thirty years she has run a full-service landscaping company, Keeyla Meadows Gardens and Art, in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she also has a gallery that shows her sculpture, paintings, furniture, and planters for the garden. Her garden has appeared on Good Morning America and Grow It!, and has been featured in Sunset, Metropolitan Home, Fine Gardening, and Horticulture. She teaches classes and lectures on garden topics at her home and at local nurseries and garden events. She has been applauded for her pioneering work in making gardens large-scale works of art and has published numerous articles about colour and the garden in magazines and newspapers. Her photographs have been published in many garden magazines, including Sunset and Fine Gardening. Keeyla's previous book is Making Gardens Works of Art (Sasquatch Books 2002).
