Annie feels like she's at a good place in her life. Happily married, expecting her first child, enjoying a vacation with her extended family at their beautiful coastal home.
But then her sister, Sunday, suddenly goes missing.
Annie is immediately concerned, but the rest of the family assure her that everything's fine, this is the kind of thing Sunday does, she'll be back…
But Annie knows in her heart that something is very wrong. And she won't rest until she sees her sister safe and well.
As Annie digs for the truth, she realizes that some of her family are not what they seem. And as she draws closer to uncovering their horrifying secret, Annie finally understands that she and her unborn child are in terrible danger…
The Favorite Child - the gripping psychological thriller from the best-selling author of The Other Couple and The Guest.
What readers are saying about The Favorite Child:
“This is a brilliant novel, fabulously written with characters that leap off the pages. Highly recommend. 5 out of 5!” -Netgalley Reviewer
“Cathryn Grant hasn’t successfully published 14 psychological thrillers without knowing what keeps readers glued to the pages and she proves it yet again.” -The Literate Leprechaun
“This was a fast-paced, circular thrill ride from start to finish. The characters were all so well developed. I couldn’t put this book down… was this a doozy!” -KKEC Reads
“Fantastic slow burn that picks up and turns into a total rollercoaster. I found myself asking over and over, why does no-one care Annie's sister is gone? Let me tell you when you find out... you will be blown away!” -Netgalley Reviewer
“This story was gripping from the start. It's rare for me to find a book that I don't feel at least five steps ahead of but this one had me feeling like I was two steps behind! Which I found delightful. I had a hard time putting it down…” -Booksprout Reviewer
“I definitely kept guessing and second guessing myself throughout… It honestly kept me wondering until the last page if everyone would turn out to be who they seemed. This was my first Cathryn Grant novel, but it won’t be my last!” -Goodreads Reviewer
