Original maroon cloth with large gold lettering on boards. Entertaining first-person novel by a boy whose father attempted to be a bookseller. The bottom half of this volume is waterstained, but all is readable. The once-lovely frontispiece of Starbright has had its head clipped by a shy previous owner. A rare and hyperbolical "slice of life" from Old Boston. 417 pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
