Review
The Association for Independent Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians
“A great practical book for working in the field. I particularly liked the opportunity to self-test online”
Pam Armstrong, President, Australian Ophthalmic Nurses’ Association Victoria
“a fantastic companion for all clinicians involved in primary eye care. The authors accurately describe a variety of common ophthalmological conditions, which are carefully organized in order of their associated symptoms, allowing the reader to quickly identify the problem, thereby facilitating appropriate referral or management.”
Dr Amit N. Jinabhai, Lecturer in Optometry, The University of Manchester
"This book should prove a useful companion for any doctor, optometrist, ophthalmic nurse, or other health professional working in primary care. Chapter one gives a practical technique for the history and examination at the primary level. The subsequent chapters provide succinct overviews of the common eye problems that are likely to be encountered, with key points summarized at the end of each chapter. Dr Simcock and Dr Burger are to be commended for giving us such a useful and practical aid for primary eye care."
Professor Colin Cook MBChB DO MPH FRCOphth FCS(Ophth)SA, Mauerberger Chair of Ophthalmology, University of Cape Town; Head, Division of Ophthalmology, Groote Schuur Hospital and Red Cross Children’s Hospital
“a very concise and succinct handbook."
Jorune Suipyte, Medical Science Director, European Medical Students’ Association
