Barely noticed in the daily mail, the Fan's letters begin to come. At first filled with love for the star he worships, the letters soon change into fantasies of intimacy with her. Then, subtly, perverse, obscene- and they draw the reader into a dazzling thriller. .The Fan's targets are Sally Ross, the bawdy, funny, aging Broadway star, and her loving, tough-as-nails secretary, Belle. Safe in their world despite the letters, they joke, battle, and cling together against the memory of lost loves, the reality of life passing. Then, one day, the letters stop and the women are engulfed in terror. Belle is savagely knifed in a subway station. There is a bizarre attack on Sally's dressing room. And all the while the Fan moves closer, the tension escalates, the nerve-racking suspense builds- until the shocking, totally surprising end. Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng.
