As if being the last decent meal around isn’t bad enough, he’s soon caught in a power struggle between ambitious leaders of rival factions who believe his blood holds the key to saving them all. Facing grim threats from every side, Tom must find a way to play the vampires against each other in order to stand on his own in a world where he’s the only one without fangs.

He slept through humanity's fall-and woke to a new nightmare.
Tom Woodford wakes from a decade-long coma to find humanity extinct-and his blood may be the last of its kind.
Rescued from a bloodthirsty humanoid by a woman named Ana, Tom is thrust into a monster-filled world ruled by an obsessed overlord determined to claim them both. As the hunt tightens, Tom begins to suspect Ana is hiding a devastating secret-and that he's nothing more than a pawn in a far deadlier game.
With nowhere left to run, Tom must choose: be hunted to the end... or turn and face the evil that wants him alive.
Can the last human survive a world built to consume him?
Famine is the first book in the tense Charon Chronicles post-apocalyptic horror series. If you like fast-paced action, tension on every page, and an underdog protagonist willing to risk it all, then you'll love J. R. Andrews' suspenseful thriller.
