Jolene Parker lives alone since her ODC rituals ripped her family apart. Now she's rebuilding her life, doing her best to keep her intrusive thoughts under control, and hoping for a reunion.
But sinister letters keep arriving in the mail, rekindling the same crazed paranoia that destroyed her life before.
When police reopen a cold case involving a local man's disappearance, the search leads to a majestic oak tree on Jolene's property, forcing her to spin a twisted tale of lies to conceal what happened that terrible night. If anyone discovers the truth, she'll lose her family forever.
Someone knows.
Was there a figure standing in the shadows that night, a witness to Jolene's crime? Or is the real danger the darkness creeping back into her mind?
