Neuware - Turkey is known as a country with strong socialcohesion. Even so, figures of runaway children inTurkey are increasing dramatically.Studies reveal that runaway episodes happen in allfamilies regardless of such factors as economic, race, or geographic situations. Teenagers run awayfor several reasons; however, early intervention ishighly suggested by studies to mitigate the problem. The family appears to be playing the major role inboth causing and solving the runaway problem. This book focuses on the factors that cause childrento run away and on interaction programs to interveneand/or prevent this problem. Although the main focusof the book is the runaway problem in Turkey; itprovides explanations on the causes of the problemand suggests solutions to it from around the worldthat may also serve other countries and familiesexperiencing similar issues.
