How Faith Is Exploited Through Miracles, Prophecies, and Religious Deception
Is every miracle genuine? Can faith be manipulated? Where does biblical Christianity end and religious exploitation begin?
Nigeria is home to one of the world's largest Christian populations, where millions turn to God for healing, hope, and transformation. While countless pastors faithfully serve their congregations with integrity and compassion, a growing culture of miracle merchandising, false prophecy, and spiritual manipulation has raised difficult questions that many believers are afraid to ask.
In False Prophets of Nigeria, Emeka Anthony presents a compelling and thoroughly researched examination of one of the most controversial issues facing the modern Church. Drawing on biblical teaching, academic research, historical evidence, and documented patterns of religious abuse, this book explores how faith can be exploited for personal gain and how Christians can protect themselves without losing their faith.
Inside this book, you will discover:
- The rise of Nigeria's miracle culture and prosperity preaching.
- How false prophecies, staged miracles, and fear are used to influence believers.
- The psychological and social factors that make religious deception effective.
- The biblical standard for testing prophets, miracles, and spiritual claims.
- Practical steps to recognize manipulation and strengthen biblical discernment.
- How churches can restore trust through integrity, accountability, and Christ-centered leadership.
This book is not an attack on Christianity or faithful pastors. It is a call to return to the teachings of Jesus Christ, where truth is valued above popularity, integrity above profit, and Scripture above personality.
Whether you are a Christian, pastor, theology student, researcher, or simply interested in understanding the challenges facing the Nigerian Church, False Prophets of Nigeria offers a balanced, thought-provoking, and biblically grounded perspective on a subject that affects millions.
Because genuine faith has nothing to fear from the truth.
