nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - When the past will not settle, another round of checking can feel like the responsible thing to do.False Memory OCD Without Certainty is for adults caught in memory doubt, mental review, reassurance seeking, confession, false-accusation fears, or repeated attempts to work out exactly what happened before allowing themselves to move on. Understand the proof hunt without turning the book into another source of reassurance. The guide uses the Proof-Hunt Cycle: a hook appears, the mind reconstructs, checking or reassurance follows, relief arrives briefly, and a new exception reopens the question. You will learn how mental review can function like a compulsion, why reassurance can lose its effect, how confession can become relief-driven, and how messages, archives, location data, search engines, and AI can become new certainty systems. Built around process rather than a verdict about the past.Nothing in the book tells you whether a feared event happened, whether a memory is true or false, or whether a particular moral or legal conclusion is correct. It separates memory confidence from memory accuracy, explains repeated-checking research without turning science into a personal truth test, and presents ERP as a way of changing the obsession-compulsion response rather than proving a fear wrong. This book is for readers who have recently encountered the false-memory OCD theme; already understand OCD but remain confused by memory doubt; struggle with mental review, reassurance, confession or proof seeking; experience false-accusation fears; or support someone with OCD and want to help without becoming another reassurance provider. Part of the OCD Recovery Tools series.…
