Profusely illustrated in beautiful colorful drawings.Illustrations surround the text or are full page or half page. Adrienne Segur, a French children's book illustrator, was known for her delicate, whimsical illustrations which fits perfectly with these stories. End papers bright pink and unmarred. Interior pages have no writing, creases or folds; some pages have light soil marks and browning along edges. Binding firm - all pages well attached. This is NOT an ex-lib copy or remainder. Illustrated cover boards are bright and colorful despite being rubbed & soiled. Spine has born the brunt of the wear- especially at top & bottom and is well attached Back board has surface scratches.
