"THE FAIR DEVIL" by Edwin Greenwood with its original dust jacket. This is an early A.L. Burt reprint edition - copyright date 1935. The book is a satirical crime and mystery novel that follows an innocent curate who marries a beautiful but deeply depraved woman. It explores themes of secret double lives, manipulation, and murder. Condition: Clean front cover and spine; the back cover has a light stain at the bottom edge. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The text pages are clean and appear unread. There are a few patches at the top edge of the text block where the red staining has faded. Some mild scuffing to the pages at the bottom edge of the text block. Overall the book is in Very Good+ condition. The dust jacket is in Very Good+ condition with only some very light soiling to the back cover and flap, and a few tiny tears at the top and bottom edges of the spine. A very nice copy. (The dust jacket comes with a clear, protective sleeve - not shown.).…
