Nina Maddox used to be hot stuff on the silver screen—red carpets, flashbulbs, champagne. But now she’s traded movie premieres for police tape, working as a private eye in the city where every smile is for sale and every secret’s got a price tag.
But there’s a slight problem with her latest case—she’s not entirely sure there’s a victim.
And the rest isn’t ideal, either: her client can’t be trusted, the suspects are a bunch of two-bit Vegas lowlifes and Tinseltown snakes, and the whole thing is somehow connected to a starlet from Hollywood’s golden age… a woman who vanished without a trace thirty years ago.
But in this town, truth is just another special effect—and if she doesn’t solve this fast, she won’t just be chasing ghosts… when the credits roll, she’ll be one.
